Risk Ranked Findings, Then a Retest

A fix list ordered by harm, on the assets you named, with those same assets checked again after the fixes.

Agreed In-Scope Assets

Applications, APIs, hosts and cloud named before anyone tests. Coverage of that list is 100%. A scanner dump with no owner is not the engagement.

Ranked by Harm

Business impact, data sensitivity and the rules that apply, so the fix list is something a security lead can assign. Manual confirmation sits in the quote.

Retest After Fixes

Every engagement ends with a retest of the agreed assets. That retest is part of the original work. The report shows what closed and what is still open.

A scanner dump with no owner is noise. A ranked list with a retest is a decision.

How an Engagement Runs

You sign the asset list, findings land with an owner, and the same assets are retested after the fixes.

  • 01

    Scope

The applications, APIs, hosts and cloud accounts are written down, with written permission and the rules of engagement. Nothing is tested until that list is signed.

  • 02

    Find

Checks run against that list. What a scanner flags is confirmed by a person before it is called a finding. Unconfirmed noise stays off the report.

  • 03

    Rank

Each confirmed finding is ordered by harm: what it reaches, whose data it touches, and which rule it affects. Exploitation is included only when the quote names it.

  • 04

    Report

You get the ranked list, the evidence, and an owner for each item. Leadership sees what can block a release. The raw notes stay with the people who will fix them.

  • 05

    Retest

After the fixes, the same agreed assets are tested again. The close-out shows what is shut and what is still open. That pass is inside the original engagement.

Engagement Models and Rates

A fixed assessment, a named monthly team, or hands inside your process. Typical work starts at $25 to $49 per hour.

Fixed Assessment

We own the outcome against the signed asset list: ranking, evidence and the retest. The list moves only by change request. Best when the assets and the date are already known.

Dedicated Security Team

Named people billed monthly, on your board and your stand-ups. Best when the estate changes every quarter and the same people should rank the next list.

Staff Augmentation

You manage the backlog. We supply the hands. Best when your team needs assessment capacity without a US payroll. More on IT staff augmentation.

What a Risk Assessment Costs

Clutch lists Vervali at $25 to $49 per hour. A fixed assessment is a fixed price, a dedicated team is monthly, and managed work is an agreed outcome. What moves the number is how many applications, APIs and hosts are in scope, and whether exploitation is included. Tool licences and extra environments are named in the estimate.

Results From Delivery

Security engagements where noise, fix time and audit preparation moved.

Anonymous bank · findings and audit evidence

Vulnerability noise was burying the work that mattered, fixes took more than 40 days, and audit preparation took five days. After the engagement: less noise, faster fixes, and audit preparation measured in hours.

68% less vulnerability noise Time to fix from 40+ days to under 16 Audit preparation from 5 days to 5 hours 3.5 times the high-risk closure rate

Four further security engagements

A payments platform, a marine technology organization, a UAE fintech and a SaaS gaming platform. Findings were retested after the fixes. The clients stay unnamed.

Tell us the applications, APIs, hosts and cloud accounts. We will come back with the signed list, whether exploitation is in, and a quote a security lead and a finance lead can both sign.

Frequently Asked Questions

A cybersecurity risk assessment ranks weaknesses on the applications, APIs, hosts and cloud you named, so the fix list follows harm instead of scanner noise. Vervali confirms the findings and retests those same assets after the fixes. Coverage of the agreed list is 100%. The work runs 9am to 1pm Eastern, with delivery from India. You need it when a release, an audit or a new system has made the last list stale.

Run one after a material change, before an audit, and when the last agreed asset list no longer matches what is live. The quote names the cadence for your estate. A retest after fixes is part of that same engagement. A single domain seen from the outside is the short start. A mixed set of applications, APIs and hosts takes longer, and the scoping call is where that length is set.

Where PCI DSS, HIPAA or SOC 2 applies, we test your controls for those rules and rank the gaps by harm. We do not issue a certificate for them. Vervali can test a client for SOC 2 readiness and is not itself SOC 2 certified. ISO/IEC 27001 covers how we handle the information. The scoping call names which rules apply to the assets in scope, so the report maps findings to those rules.

The assessment uses the tools that fit the assets, including Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Tenable and OpenVAS, plus manual confirmation of what a scanner flags. A scanner dump with no owner is not the engagement. What you receive is a ranked list, evidence and a retest of the agreed assets after fixes. The scoping call names which checks are in, so the tool list follows the assets.

Yes, when you want exploitation and a path to harm written into the same engagement. The assessment ranks the agreed assets and retests after fixes. Exploitation is added when the quote says so, as one scope. Written permission names the assets and the limits before any test starts. A look at one domain from the outside can come first, before the fuller list is agreed.

Incident response on this page is a named tabletop or a walk through the breach path, only when the quote includes it. The assessment still ranks the agreed assets and retests after fixes. Stand-ups, blockers and the readout run 9am to 1pm Eastern, with delivery from India. Phishing of staff is a separate engagement. The scoping call decides whether readiness work sits in this quote.

The time follows the agreed list: how many applications, APIs and hosts, and whether exploitation is included. A look at one domain is the short end. A mixed estate takes longer. We do not publish a fixed week count. The quote after the scoping call names the days, and the retest of those same assets is inside that window, not a later project.

Clutch lists Vervali at $25 to $49 per hour. The price follows how many applications, APIs and hosts are in scope, and whether exploitation is included. A fixed assessment is a fixed price once that list is written down. Tool licences and extra environments are named in the estimate. The scoping call builds the number against your assets. A look at one domain from the outside can come first.
