Cloud Migration Strategy and
Readiness Assessment

Readiness assessment and a phased roadmap before anyone moves a workload, 9am to 1pm Eastern, with delivery from India. We name what moves, what stays, and which decisions must be signed before code starts. The estate, the sequence and the quote are agreed before the plan is written.

Readiness, Roadmap and Cutover Decisions

A written plan before anyone moves a workload, so the sequence and the risks are agreed first.

Readiness Assessment

What you run, what it costs, the dependencies nobody documented, and the skills on the team. Interviews sit alongside the infrastructure review. Planning typically takes 2 to 4 weeks.

Phased Roadmap

What moves, what stays, and which moves depend on which. Rehost, refactor, re-platform or hybrid, named against the estate you run. The pack is yours to execute.

Cost and Risk

A cost model with the assumptions shown, a risk register, and the decisions that must be signed first: identity, residency, the cutover window and who operates the estate.

A move without a signed sequence is how cutovers slip.

Paths the Roadmap Can Name

Each workload gets the lightest path that still meets the outcome.

Rehost

Lift the workload as it is. The fastest exit when the application is sound and the data centre is the constraint.

Re-platform

Change the database, runtime or middleware for managed cloud services without rewriting the application.

Refactor

Split a monolith only where scale or release speed justifies the work. The roadmap says why.

Hybrid

Keep a named system on premises when a regulator, a contract or a dependency requires it.

Decisions Signed Before Code

Leadership signs these before a workload is scheduled to move.

Identity and Residency

Who can reach the new estate, where data must live, and which controls exist on day one. Evidence packs are scoped when an audit needs them.

Cutover Window

How long each wave can be offline, whether a parallel run is required, and how rollback works. Zero downtime is not assumed.

Who Operates It

Your team, Vervali, or a handover after the first months. The quote names the operator before the first workload moves. The move itself runs through cloud migration and modernisation.

Case Studies

Regulated and high-volume estates where the sequence was named before anything moved.

Two private-sector banks · Lending platforms

Loan processing and agent onboarding rebuilt for two leading private-sector banks, with the compliance each engagement required. Platforms like these only change through a named sequence, reconciled data and tested releases.

60% faster loan processing50% less agent onboarding time

Diagnostics Chain Back End

The back end for a diagnostics chain, planned around the integrations and load that real patient volume produces.

Cybersecurity SaaS

A cybersecurity SaaS product tested under DDoS simulation, so the plan included how the estate fails and recovers.

How a Strategy Starts

Planning typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, 9am to 1pm Eastern with delivery from India.

  • 01

    Review One Environment

We look at one environment, its dependencies and its cost, free of charge.

  • 02

    Agree the Decisions

Identity, residency, the cutover window and who operates the estate are written down.

  • 03

    Write the Roadmap

Each workload gets a path, a sequence and a cost model with the assumptions shown.

  • 04

    Hand Over or Move

You keep the plan, or we carry out the move once the quote is signed.

Frequently Asked Questions

The best strategy names rehost, refactor, re-platform or hybrid against the estate you actually run, with a sequence and the decisions that must be signed before anyone moves a workload. We assess dependencies, cost and the team's skills, then write a roadmap you can execute with us or with your own team. AWS and Azure are the platforms we plan for, and the plan can name the clouds you already run.

The strategy itself typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, once we have seen the estate. A phased move after that is usually 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the number of applications, the data and the cutover windows you can accept. The written quote names both timelines after a free review of one environment, so the weeks are based on your systems rather than a generic band.

The plan names the cutover window, any parallel run and the rollback before a workload moves. We do not promise zero downtime. Systems that must stay up are identified in the readiness assessment, and the quote states how long each wave can be offline. The move itself, including reconciliation at cutover, is carried out as a separate engagement once that window is agreed.

Identity, data residency, encryption and the shared responsibility split are written into the target architecture before anyone moves a workload. The plan states which controls must exist on day one and which evidence a later audit will need. Vervali tests clients for SOC 2 readiness and is not itself SOC 2 certified. Account penetration testing and formal evidence packs are scoped separately when the quote calls for them.

The readiness review lists idle capacity, oversized instances and environments left running, each with an owner. The cost model shows the assumptions, so leadership can see what a move would change. We do not publish a savings percentage. Ongoing cost control after go-live is a separate operating engagement. A free review of one environment is the first look at what you already spend.

Yes, when a regulator, a contract or a customer requires a second venue. For most estates, running on more than one cloud costs more than it saves, so the plan says so plainly. We build on AWS and Azure, and the roadmap can name the clouds you already run, including Google Cloud. Hybrid stays in the plan when a system must remain on premises for a named reason.

The roadmap is written so your team can execute it, and training or handover is included when you ask for it. We can also run the move and the first months of operations if the skills are not in house yet. Coverage is 9am to 1pm Eastern, with delivery from India. The quote names who operates the estate after cutover, so that decision is made before the first workload moves.

Work is scoped to the estate, the decisions and the weeks you need, then quoted before we start. Clutch lists Vervali at $25 to $49 per hour. Strategy planning typically takes 2 to 4 weeks. You are not required to hire us to carry out the move. After a free review of one environment, the written quote names the weeks and the price.
